Description Michael Wagner 2005-05-01 09:42:38 UTC
the command mixer pitch 120
submitted either from the CLI or the status.txt http: interface,
causes audio dropouts.

The higher the number, the more frequent the dropouts.

CPU consumption on the server CPU is not high.

Device is original squeezebox (not SB2). Connection is wired, not wireless.

If I turn on display of buffer fullness, the buffer hovers around 99% full. So
maybe this isn't a server problem but a hardware problem. I don't know how to
do more problem determination than this. Sorry. Ask away if you wish and I'll
test more.

Sorry, forgot. Player Firmware Version: 40

Unfortunately, this is an issue with the audio decoder chip that we cannot fix.

Dean:

In the device code for SB, in 6, it won't let you set above 120.

With this resolution as a hardware problem, could the code be changed so that
it limits to 110?

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
