Description Mark Wahl 2009-10-13 11:47:35 UTC
When I switch off my Squeezebox Classic, I get as date: Dienstag, Oktober 13, 2009. The correct display should be: Dienstag, 13. Oktober 2009. The display was correct with 7.3.3., but is incorrect with 7.4.0. and 7.4.1. The "Musikquelle" at Squeezebox" is selected to my squeezebox server PC. Language is german.
Comment 1 Michael Herger 2009-10-15 08:23:22 UTC
you can select the display format in the settings.
Comment 2 Mark Wahl 2009-10-15 09:23:32 UTC
In Squeezecenter 7.3.3. I did NOT change any settings on startup and the date display was correct. In Squeezebox Server 7.4.0. a date display is selected by default which no one uses in Germany. So it is clearly a buggy localisation. The default value for the date format is wrong for germany.
Comment 3 Mark Wahl 2009-10-15 09:36:35 UTC
I just checked that I have to change the date setting from "server default" to
the wanted format for EVERY player! There is no possibilty to change the buggy "server default"-setting generally. In addition the date format can only be changed from squeezebox server GUI, not in "Einstellungen" at the sequeezebox directly. This is clearly an annoying thing compared to 7.3.3. where there were no such problems.

Fixed Bug: 14745
Description: fix bad time/date format strings
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2009-10-16 02:17:30 UTC
I stand corrected: translators did indeed accidentally reset some of the format strings. I reverted that change. Thanks for insisting.

The server default can be set in Einstellungen/Benutzeroberflche/Langes|Kurzes Datumsformat. You shouldn't need to change it on all players.
Comment 6 Mark Wahl 2009-10-16 08:01:42 UTC
Thanks for the hint, I successfully updated the server default and now have the correct date format on all clients.
