Description Mickey Gee 2009-10-12 08:41:24 UTC
I saw the pause icon at the bottom left corner of the screen displayed as a solid white rectangle. First noticed with 7.4.1 r7834 on both Baby and Jive. Don't recall seeing it on earlier version of 7.4.1.

I think it's easiest to see by choosing a player to control that's not the one you're on. For example, switch a Baby to control a Boom or switch a Jive to control a SB3. Upon the first switch, the pause icon is shown as a white square.

Also reproducible when you first power on Baby and the track is paused.

However, it's not visible once you start pressing the pause button.

Also don't recall seeing ever on 7.4.0.

Correction -- Baby is 7.4.1 r7837, Jive is 7.4.1 r7834.

Mickey: I am unable to replicate this, can you get a screen grab from the Jive or SP Desktop when this happens?

OK, I saw this happen once on 7.4.1, while playing an Internet Radio Stream (Paradise radio) I pressed pause, a few minutes later the pause icon changed to a stop icon.

I think this happens when the buffer errors out, or the stream is no longer playing or cached. Just a guess on my part though.

Yes, but don't you think that's correct? It has actually changed modes from paused to stopped when that happens...

that is, if you hit the play button after this has happned, instead of unpausing (starting at the place where you were paused before), it will rebuffer and start at "now".

Ben: I agree with you, I think the behavior is correct. if the stream stops then the icon should change to stop.
