Description Toby 2009-10-08 11:18:07 UTC
Within SBS > Settings > MySqueezeBox, or on the Control Panel > Diagnostics
Add one button to click to test (PING) connection to MySB, then a "check" mark appears for each of the results for:
a) if SBS (players) can see the internet (MySB)
b) if SBS (players) can use MySB dependent items (Music Services, Apps, etc..)

I know there is a PING test for MySB on the SBS Control Panel (very cool BTW), but I'm guessing two things regarding the this PING:
1. most people (myself included) have no real concept of what this really means
2. just because SBS can see (PING) MySB does not mean SBS is properly configured to use MySB services. IOW, even without a valid MySB account this PING will still show as OK.

Seems a common issue in the forums where people can connect to SBS but can't play either any stations or can't play Music Services. Asking them "do your players see the internet" is not an easy diagnosis for the less than techy customer.
