Description Nikolaj Christensen 2009-10-06 12:41:30 UTC
Problem: Running the official 7.4 release. Have a duet and 2xboom. None of them will sync correctly using either radio streams or flac. Have tried to restart the server but it doesn't work. They remain about a second apart.

Please let me know what debug information I need to attach to this bug thanks.

- the bug which this one was marked as a duplicate of has completely changed direction. Reopening.

Status: Still have sync issues on 7.4.1-28791. Initially server time was suspected, but I have ntp disabled now and restart SBS everyday.

Latest finding: Two booms was out of sync with both flac and radio, but after powercycling each boom they came back in sync. Does that information help at all?

Power cycled the two booms as well. Great sync.

Did a power cycle on both booms. Now all three players syncs well across various sources.

- added a bunch of logs. Please let me know if you need anything else to fix this. I rely heavily on proper sync for my 4 players thanks.
Comment 7 Nikolaj Christensen 2009-10-19 10:00:16 UTC
- for the past few days I have switched to MySB for Rhapsody and radio. Now syncs seem to work great (although this morning my kitchen receiver couldn't see my bathroom boom in the sync list)
Comment 8 Nikolaj Christensen 2009-11-25 22:49:46 UTC
- Had to go back to SBS to play my local music and finally found a working solution. Installed the Dimension 4 NTP client and set it to update every 1 minute. This has provided me with solid sync for a week now. Windows 7 updates once every 24 hours as default. Maybe this should be conveyed to support.

Servers for synced playback are required to reasonably stable clocks that run at the correct speed.
