Bugzilla – Bug 14606
Pandora Menu Reorganization...
Last modified: 2011-11-06 23:23:46 UTC
I'd like to propose a change to the way the Pandora UI menu is presented... I think its a simple change that would lead to less confusion and an easier time using Pandora. Change #1: Home -> My Apps -> Pandora Change: a) If you have no Pandora stations, "Create a Station" should be the first menu you're presented with b) If you have Pandora stations, "Your Stations" should be the first menu you see. In either case (a or b) above, hitting "Back" once your in that menu should bring you to the main pandora menu. If need-be to make things not confusing, you could have the main menu show up first when you select Pandora, and then have it auto-forward into one of the two options. Change #2: Once you type a new station name in, that piece of menu-history should be destroyed. What I mean is, if you walk through creating a station, it starts playing right away. If you come back a bit later and hit the Back button, you end up at the "type in a station seed" screen and have to hit back a whole bunch of times. Once a station has been created from your typing, that "menu item history" should be destroyed and you should just skip it when going back in your menu history.
Matt, Can you comment on this... if you approve, can we implement it for 7.4.x (no need for 7.4.1).
Yeah, something along these lines is being planned. The delay is due to the fact that this isn't just a Pandora problem - there are several similar apps that work the same way (Slacker, last.fm, sections of Rhapsody/Napster), and I want to keep the UI consistent.
