Bugzilla – Bug 14588
Scanner reports 'File not found' for non-ASCII characters
Last modified: 2009-10-14 13:06:14 UTC
Hi, I am using a ReadyNAS DUO with 7.4.1 together with itunes 9. All Music as well as the itunes Lib are located on the ReadyNAS. The new design looks good! I got some minor problems during the update, but it seems to work now, except this problem with non-ascii characters. I don't know, if I got this problem in the previous versions of SC as well. I see this messages during the scan: [09-10-03 14:03:46.3975] Slim::Plugin::iTunes::Common::normalize_location (363) Normalized file://localhost/Z:/Mediathek/Daten/Thomas%20D/Solo/01%20R%C3%BCckenwind.mp3 to file:///media/Mediathek/Daten/Thomas%20D/Solo/01%20R%C3%BCckenwind.mp3 [09-10-03 14:03:46.4351] Slim::Plugin::iTunes::Common::normalize_location (363) Normalized file://localhost/Z:/Mediathek/Daten/Thomas%20D/Solo/01%20R%C3%BCckenwind.mp3 to file:///Z:/Mediathek/Daten/Thomas%20D/Solo/01%20R%C3%BCckenwind.mp3 [09-10-03 14:03:46.4487] Slim::Plugin::iTunes::Importer::handleTrack (335) File not found: /Z:/Mediathek/Daten/Thomas D/Solo/01 Rückenwind.mp3 I've got these messages for all of the non-ascii file names. What can I do? Regards, Christoph
I installed a newer version of 7.4.1. Version: 7.4.1 - r28795 @ Thu Oct 8 04:03:11 PDT 2009 Hostname: XXX IP: XXX HTTP-Port: 9000 BS: Netgear RAIDiator - DE - utf8 Plattform: sparc-linux Perl-Version: 5.8.8 - sparc-linux MySQL-Version: 5.0.24a-Debian_3.infrant1 Anzahl erkannte Player: 2 and this bug is fixed. I guess, this bug is related to bug 14520.
Great to hear! Thanks for the feedback. The charset issue indeed can lead to scanning issues.
