Description Paul Holthuizen 2005-04-28 07:01:25 UTC
In the web interface, browsing for an artist, selecting an album and pressing
play to move the album to the play list:

If the artist name contains a character like : Blf, when it ends up in the
playlist (right side of the web interface) it gets repeated a couple of times.
In case of Blf it gets repeated 3 times:

1. Laten we gaan dan from Helder by Blf Blf Blf

In case of Blue yster Cult it gets repeated two times :

17. (Don't Fear) The Reaper from Rock Hits by Blue yster Cult Blue yster Cult

you will get this if the tags have the artist in many fields as well. ie:
artist, band, composer, etc. check the songinfo page for those tracks.
Comment 2 Paul Holthuizen 2005-04-28 13:30:56 UTC
That is not the case here. The artist name is only mentioned (once) in the
ARTIST tag; there are no composer or band tags afaics (as reported by MP3TAG,
Foobar and MusicMagicMixer). In Slims' Songinfo however the artist name is also
mentioned 3 times after the 'Artist:' heading.

what happens if you wipe cache and let it rescan with just a music folder in
server settings? same for no folder and just musicmagic?

that might help determine which source is providing the wrong info.

This should be fixed in the 6.2 nightlies. Please reopen if it's not.

Thanks.
