Got exactly the sample problem on Windows Vista.
Comment 2 Andy Grundman 2009-10-12 13:08:21 UTC
I can't reproduce this (tested on Mac). I notice you have an item called
"Title: " in your menu, but this is not a standard menu item. What menu is
this in your screenshot?
Comment 3 Lim Chiau Wu 2009-10-12 15:54:13 UTC
The screenshot is from Michael's MusicinfoSCR, but I downloaded its latest version

The screenshot is from Michael's MusicinfoSCR, downloaded its latest version
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2009-10-12 22:49:30 UTC
The first (presumably correct) screenshot is from that screensaver, not the broken one, right? MusicInfoSCR doesn't provide the additional menus.

What kind of music are you playing? Online stream or local music?
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2009-10-12 22:50:01 UTC
Andy - Title is being used in remote tracks.
Comment 7 Lim Chiau Wu 2009-10-12 23:18:40 UTC
Not right, Mike, the first screenshot shown is from MusicInfoSCR, the spectrum meter shown on the right (after pressing 'Now Playing'

I was listening to local music streamed from my iMac.

Correct. I never had any doubts about that :-)

> I was listening to local music streamed from my iMac.

What kind of file? Any file or some of them?
Comment 9 Lim Chiau Wu 2009-10-13 01:10:11 UTC
The music file is in FLAC format. The whole music files in this Chinese album having weird characters in Title, Artist. However, the display (1st screen shot) shown correctly.

I have not tried other Chinese/Japanese albums though, probably i will try other formats (ALAC, AIFF) tonight when i get home.
Comment 10 Lim Chiau Wu 2009-10-13 04:41:31 UTC
Mike, you are right, I have set MusicInfoSCR as screensaver when playing mode. My bad.

I have tried other music format, i.e. WMA, ALAC, FLAC, AIFF, all shows weird character for both Chinese and Japanese text.

However, the character shown for Album is correct. Only Artist and Title shows weird character, perhaps this is 'clue' for you and your team to diagnose :)
