Description eap 2009-10-02 05:53:53 UTC
Scrolling text (song titles and artist/album) on the Duet Controller slows down after the controller has been used for a while. I do not have a definitive answer as to exactly when this occurs -- but it looks like after 30 minutes or so the scrolls begin to get less smooth (jerky) and eventually become painfully slow -- as slow as 1/2 a letter at a time.

I'm not sure if its tied to any behavior (like switching back and forth between local and Internet; or between different feeds) or if it just time related or perhaps battery power related?

A temporary work-around is to reboot the controller. However, the issue eventually returns.

Note that this refers to the controller running 7.4

Richard/Tom: have you heard of this? does the beta firmware fix the issue?

Thanks for looking into this, but I don't think bug 14162 is the same.

I do not notice slowness issues with volume or anything else when this occurs.

Just the slow text scrolling.
