Authentication window closes before the password is entered, then nothing would show up again.

Bug: 14471
Description: don't queue up authentication dialogs, but return early if one is up
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2009-10-01 06:19:44 UTC
the authentication dialog disappears when the splash screen is hidden (after 10 seconds). Most likely the dialog is attaching to the splash screen as its parent window.

Hi

I had the same problem. Can't login to server if I have a password. If I type very very fast I get my password just in time I do get in.

Running XP (patched to date)
SBS 7.4 running as a service.

If I don't type it in in time the control panel remains active as a process but I can't see it.

Cheers
Louis

Fixed Bug: 14471
Description: don't let the splash screen time out. Hide it manually once everything's initialized.

Control Panel

Please test this new built version of the control panel. Just drop it into the Program Files/Squeezebox/server folder (or wherever you installed SBS) to replace the existing squeezeboxcp.exe file. Then try to start it. Thanks!

It works.

Have to say that the Information tab shows the following:
"No status information available. Please note that Squeezebox Server has to be up and running in order to display its status information"

My server is up and is fine. If I turn passwords off it shows expected information.

Maybe another bug?
