Description Julius Dauz 2009-09-30 13:33:59 UTC
A user would like to be able to adjust volume in smaller increments. He states that we adjust in 10db increments now, but would like to see 1-2db increments.

In the Web interface, I can set volume = 0, 10, 20 ... 90 and 100. The steps are too big for me. I'd like to be able to set volume to 71, 72, 73, etc. without reaching for the Squeezebox Controller.

I suggest that the volume should go from 0-100 in all interfaces where this is practically possible, instead of a mix of 0-100, 1-10, 1-11, and whatnot. This would make the user experience more consistent and give the user more control.

The original request for finer volume increments looks like a duplicate of Bug 8763, which is fixed in 7.6 beta.

And the consistency request in Comment 1 is already covered in Bug 14890 (I think alarms is the last vestige of 0-11, everything else is 0-100).
