Baby PVT2 r7779. Was navigating the settings screen. Nav reaction got really slow for a few sec then was OK and the wallpaper changed from Harmony to Encore. I had not selected the wallpaper menu.

Probably not a bug.
I was playing (on Baby) with controlling other players and I selected controlling another player and it looks like the wallpaper changes to Encore as soon as you select some player other than yourself. I am assuming this is by design?

Yes, this is by design. The idea is that if you have multiple players you get previewed the wallpaper that has been set for a given player. Encore is the default, so most of the players will preview that, but if you have a player configured with a different wallpaper it will show that.

There is a significant cost to redrawing the screen with a new wallpaper, so perhaps this feature needs removal. This is the third or fourth time someone has opened a bug against this, so it's probably not a well executed enough feature to keep around.

These bugs have all been marked resolved and belong to a component which is being removed.  Therefore they have been moved to the most applicable of the new components.
