Verified r7847 resolves issue

Still not resolved you can create the recursive menus you need to back out of if the system is slightly unresonsive.
Blair: what firmware version are you on?

Try just spamming the alarm button from the home menu you can still get it if the system lags a little.
Blair: 'spamming' the alarm button (or any other button for that matter) is not expected behavior. I'm leaving this bug closed/fixed as normal button operation is working as expected.
