Bugzilla – Bug 14287
"Switch Library" warning message should not appear after I've switched networks
Last modified: 2011-11-06 23:23:17 UTC
Scenario: at home I have "network A" and " "Library A" (Squeezebox Server). At work it's "network B" and "Library B". The problem: I have my Radio connected to "network A" at home. I bring it in to work and power it on. After powering on the device, I go to settings->advanced->networking-> to change to "network B." I then go and listen to internet radio and do some other stuff. Eventually, I select "My Music." I am immediately taken to a screen that reads: "Switch Library ------------- You have made a selection that will connect to a different library, which will stop playback. Switch to library: [LIBRARY A]" The device will never find "Library A!" (at least, not unless I've switched my computer and device both over to another network at the same time, which is not the common case.) Fix: have the device "forget" "Library A" when I switch to "Network B," then present me with a list of Libraries (even if only one is available).

This is more than a P3, it's a big deal for Radio, esp. once we start selling batteries. This will happen any time you move a Squeezebox from one network to another, and is very confusing.
