Description Mickey Gee 2009-09-23 11:35:55 UTC
I was running a Controller with firmware r7719 connected to test.sn and a SB3. When I selected App Gallery, I momentarily got this error message (see attachment). I looked at my SB3, which also had some sort of "can't see server" error message.

Then everything came back to normal on the Controller and SB3 screen, so I think it was a transient problem.

However, the error message displayed could be friendlier.

Matt: is this yours to tackle?

I need to know what is causing the error screen. Given that information, I can write copy for the error. Please assign to someone who can explain the cause of the error or what it means.
Comment 4 James Richardson 2009-10-06 15:45:15 UTC
This is caused by having OLD equipment in the market.

When this error happens, the customer needs to contact support to get the items replaced.
Comment 5 Dan Evans 2009-10-07 16:54:18 UTC
Wait, I can think of two things that would cause this error:

1. It's a pre-release prototype build, so the latest firmware has disabled it.

2. It wasn't programmed properly at the factory and slipped past factory QA.

We should be able to determine which is which when deciding what error to display, and so this could be two different errors.
