Description Caleb Crome 2009-09-20 08:58:13 UTC
In auto-brightness mode, I got an odd behavior: it pulsates at about 2 hz, full-brigtness, then dim, full-dim-full-dim.

Once the 30-second timeout passes, it stays dim. Then when I touch the controls, it starts pulsating again.

FW r7660

I don't know how to reproduce it. Once I put it back to manual brightness, the problem went away, then switched back to auto, and problem happened again.

Once I powered off (all the way) and rebooted, I could not reproduce.

Ah, I reproduced it. I just waited until the screen went blank (screensaver = blank screen), then touched the controls, it started pulsating again.

- the bug condition would be triggered by entering and leaving brightness control window (which incorrectly used tieAndShowWindow), which would cause the SqBabyApplet to be re-initted. Now show() is used, and free() no longer exits the applet (and a error message appears if an attempt to free is done)
