Description Mickey Gee 2009-09-16 08:02:01 UTC
Playing local flac tracks with battery-only PVT2 Baby and volume = 100. Firmware version r7578.

I was playing volume at 100 and then all of a sudden it stops abruptly. Blank screen, nothing lighted at all. The battery was very low, so I assumed the battery had become too low. I didn't watch the screen just before it died, so I don't know what was shown on the LCD prior to it dying.

I plugged the Baby into AC with the battery in it, but the unit wouldn't turn on. I then removed the battery and then plugged in AC. Still won't turn on. There's no Logitech logo or anything -- it just appears 100% dead. Tried both short press and long press of Power button.

Uh, that surely doesn't sound good. Bring that in!

What if you press-and-hold-and-keep-holding the power button? Anything then?

Brought it to work and plugged it into AC. Booted right up. Didn't need to hold down Power button.

Dunno what happened. Might be OK now. I'll keep playing with it.

Assigning it to Micky for further investigation

Unable to repro. Had it playing at volume = 100 with battery only and firmware r7664. Baby turned off when battery got low. Was able to turn on by holding Power button for 20 seconds.
