Description Joerg Schwieder 2009-09-16 04:37:46 UTC
If I enter information in the SC settings pages there can be an accidental "Apply" action in the following case:

- Using Firefox
- when entering data, for which Firefox presents "defaults", e.g. an e-mail address or some previously entered information.
- As soon as you select this data, at least if you do that with "Enter", the "Apply" action is initiated and the data you selected is NOT being used.

Is this an issue you only see with SC?!?
Comment 2 Joerg Schwieder 2009-09-16 05:11:11 UTC
No, there are some other web sites that have similar issues. I believe generally ones that use a lot of Java script on entries.
But it's not a general issue, works fine with around 90% of web sites.

I've seen this behavior but have never been able to state it as clearly or narrow it down, thanks Joerg for the bug report.

Michel if there is any other info or testing you need QA to do, please let us know

I guess the JS code intercepting key presses is triggering too early in this case. Sounds like a non-trivial fix, as I have no idea how to filter out enter presses done in one of FF's drop downs.

Web UI changes are planned post-7.4. As annoying as it might be in some cases, I'll punt this bug. It's not going to stop Baby from shipping.
