I get pops up to loud, then down to quiet with the new volume code.  However, getting from 0 to 100 is pretty effective with the new scrolling code :-)

re-installed, and similar behavior.

Reproduce by:

Slowly (1 cycle /sec or so) turn the volume up and down a few times, then let go. Volume changes go on long after you let go of the volume.

Server software is Version: 7.4 - r28177 @ Thu Aug 13 04:02:15 PDT 2009

Phew, it's just that your SC is pretty far out of date (28177), and doesn't contain the local control code. Anything about 28295 should not exhibit the problem you described.

I confirmed that the bug behavior is not happening with newer SP/SC/SN.
