Description Mickey Gee 2009-09-13 19:51:45 UTC
Running a PVT Baby with firmware r7541 connected directly to test.sn.com.

I've been playing Napster and Pandora music services today for a 4-5 hours. I've had to pause them for 5-10 minutes around 4 or 5 times today. Sometimes when I restart the stream I hear this big loud chirp before the track resumes.

I've tried to reproduce with short 5-10 second pauses, but I don't hear the chirp. This was a Sunday morning in California when I encountered these issues.

Interesting that you get this for both Pandora (MP3) & Napster (WMA). I guess you mean Napster not in radio mode (where pause is disallowed - you just get stop). In both cases, after the player buffer fills, streaming will stop. Therefore you have to wait long enough after track start for the buffer to fill, which will depend upon network speed. When this has occurred, Pandora will not be able to unpause and will just go to the next track, which will count as a skip.

So, for Napster you have the possibility of a seek-restart when unpausing, which for Pandora you do not. But I don't what could cause the chirp in either case ob the SC side.

with the release of 7.4, has anyone been able to replicate this issue?
