Description Mickey Gee 2009-09-12 09:19:09 UTC
I reopened bug 12889 and added comment 12. Running battery-only Baby, firmware 7526. While I was entering it, I noticed that the sound effects I usually hear from pressing front panel buttons or navigating menus had disappeared.

Not sure what had caused it, but I did notice that the wireless icon had turned red for awhile, but is now white with one dot. Wireless connectivity marginal right now. Diagnostics screen says no SC connected and connected to SN.

I resumed playing a Mediafly podcast, and the audio for that stream played just fine. Once I did that, I started hearing the sound effects again.

Richard: this sounds like a dupe of the cross-fade bug, or a symptom of it

Any instructions to recreate?

I tried to repro this using these steps:

1. Start playing Mediafly podcast
2. Take Baby out of wireless range, see red icon.
3. Wait until podcast stops playing.
4. Press front buttons and listen for sound effects.

I did this but could not repro on firmware 7622.

Closing bug for now.
