Bugzilla – Bug 13881
Battery-only Baby won't turn on if left OFF overnight
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:33:18 UTC
I had been playing my battery-only Baby a bit, and the battery icon seemed to be lower than half full (maybe quarter full?). I turned Baby off for the night, and turned it off by depressing the Power button only momentarily. The next morning, the Baby wouldn't turn on at all, by either pressing the Power button momentarily or holding it down for awhile. To confirm the battery was low, I plugged in the AC power cord, and it booted right up. Then I pulled the AC power cord and the Baby stopped working immediately. What should happen with a battery-only Baby turned off overnight? Should it drain down so it can't turn back on? Should there be a special way of turning Baby off so it doesn't do that? Or is there a bug whereby the power is drained even when off?
There needs to be an idle timeout to send the baby into shutdown mode. I don't think this is implemented yet. It needs to be, but this is not mine. Richard maybe?
