SqueezeCenter can't connect to MySQL though mysqld is running fine.

Andy - if you had a 7.4 installed on that box, make sure you remove it. Otherwise the PrefPane will look and behave strangely.

After I've shut down mysqld left behind by the previously installed 7.4, 7.3.4 will now start too.
