Description Walker LaRon 2009-08-28 12:13:09 UTC
Hello All,

1. We need to enter the contents of the Troubleshooting page using the
CMS tool. Presumably this will be linked to from the contents of the
Support page under the "Troubleshooting Help" section

Per Seth, this should probably be assigned to Matthew Martin initially so he can
create the page/"position" element in the CMS. He can then assign it to
the right person in Support to actually enter the copy.

Once that page exists, we need to set up a server redirect from

www.squeezenetwork.com/support/troubleshooting
to
www.mysqueezebox.com/support/troubleshooting

Then make sure it resolves to the page we created in #1 above. I will be creating a second bug and assigning it to Brandon for this portion of the process, but he will not be able to proceed until the first portion of this request is complete.

Thanks,

LaRon

Duplicating this page is superfluous and VERY expensive.(In reply to comment #0)

Why do we 'need' this? This is already built-into the design of the Support page --
Wait, why are we adding this? This goes against the design of the support page:

"
Troubleshooting Help

Please select your product:

    * Squeezebox Radio
    * Squeezebox Touch
    * Squeezebox Duet
    * Squeezebox Boom
    * Other
"

which was designed per Dan's input/feedback. Those links drive to the appropriate RightNow troubleshooting for these products, which is already localized.

Duplicating these pages on MySB in the CMS is expensive and unnecessary based on the existing design.

This should just redirect to the support page which includes troubleshooting links (use an anchor to drop the page down so the first thing you see is "Troubleshooting help")

Spoke with La Ron -- what is needed her is a direct, deep-link to the troubleshooting to be consistent with documentation.

Duplicating the RightNow troubleshooting is not needed.

Opening a separate bug for Michael to add an anchor so /support/troubleshooting deep links to /support/#troubleshooting
