I always keep the volume at 100%. I've been noticing lately that when a firmware upgrade is installed the unit boots up with volume at 50%. I haven't noticed this happening with any other settings, such as wallpaper or brightness.

The Default for volume on all devices is 50%
Comment 2 Jim McAtee 2009-08-27 18:17:38 UTC
Sure, on a factory reset you restore all default settings. But not when installing new firmware.

James, I'm going to assume you misunderstood and go ahead and reopen the bug. If this change was intentional then I can change it to an enhancement request.

I just did another firmware update and this time the volume level was not reset. I'm thinking what I'm seeing may be the result of connecting to SqueezeNetwork rather than the update itself.
