Bugzilla – Bug 13724
Choosing language for mysb.com UI changes language on player
Last modified: 2009-10-05 16:43:44 UTC
Choosing language displayed on player should be controlled by going to mysb.com, selecting Players and Language. However, that doesn't change it. Currently, to change displayed language on player you change the language used to view web pages on mysb.com.
It was decided quite some time ago to NOT control language in this way.
Which way? IMHO what Mickey describes is how it should be. If it doesn't work that way, then it's broken.
I assume that: 1. If you change web UI language on mysb.com, player language does not change. 2. If you change player language on the player tab within the web UI on mysb.com, then the player language would change.
I showed it to Seth, and he agreed with me.
Mickey - Works for me. Can you reproduce this issue? If so - anything special I'd have to do before switching language?
QA to reproduce. Works for me.
Andy suggests we remove the player language setting from the web UI. When done, QA should verify that both SN and SC both have ways to change the player language. Mickey notes that the home menu does not change, but in the Pandora menu there is a new language. Pat agrees that this is one case where not every menu option needs to be done from both the player and web ui.
