Bugzilla – Bug 13711
Automatically add App into My Apps for pre-7.4 accounts
Last modified: 2009-10-05 16:43:31 UTC
If an account already has credentials for a music services such as Napster or Rhapsody, then when the user's logs onto mysb.com the My App list should already include those Apps and the credentials.
Who should this be assigned to and what target?
I'll take a look - with a little help of Andy if needed.
I will write a database script that does this.
I agree this would be great, but if we don't already do this on Boom or Duet, defer to later.
This has to be done, but it's not hard.

Actually, this ONLY applies to older devices, not new ones, at least in practical terms. It's intended to preserve the settings of our existing user base when we force them to upgrade to 7.4. And yes, we need to do it, so we don't break the user experience for our entire customer base :-). Would be nice if anonymous trials were covered too (pre-install the relevant app, and allow the user to restart their trial).
