Description Ryan 2009-08-26 14:49:52 UTC
Several of the BAbys I am using appeared to have crashed or had some other event after which they have lost all nertwork connectivity. A hard factory reset ( + button and cycle power) is required to recover. This has happened to 3 out of four in the last 24 hours. firmwear 7261. is there any chance this is a new symptom of the random crash bug?

Tom; Lots of people here in the office have reported this with PB1/PB2 units. I have seen it on PB2 myself, but not with PVT yet.

What should we look for IF this ever happens on PVT units? Can you replicate this?

Possibly related to bug 13684?
Comment 2 Ryan 2009-08-26 17:12:58 UTC
One of my units that has lost connection is a PVT, so now it has been seen on a PVT
Comment 3 Wadzinski Tom 2009-08-28 13:45:31 UTC
Can you provide more details about the failure?

- Is the ui still responsive?
- What does diagnostic say?
- if console access, then can you get the logs: do dmesg and cat /var/log/messages

Marking as worksforme till we can reproduce and provide better diagnostics

These bugs have all been marked resolved and belong to a component which is being removed. Therefore they have been moved to the most applicable of the new components.

Closing resolved bugs - if you feel this bug still exists please first re-test with the latest SW/FW version. If you are able to reproduce then feel free to reopen and attach new logs / steps to reproduce.
