Description Joggs 2009-08-25 14:31:04 UTC
When starting up SC, mysqld.exe starts running with normal priority(should be the lowest) and it runs for many minutes taking 100% cpu so I cannot use the computer.
I don't know what kind of scan going on, but it must be one hell of a sql query.

It seems like the query has to end before squeeze center actually starts and is reachable.

I have a pretty fast computer and a month or so ago, I hadn't this problem.

Not much more to go to on this bug yet, but maybe you have gotten more reports like this one.

There you go, mysqld.exe processed died and the squeezeserver exe started and the computer is back to normal. Took like 5 minutes this time.

Which build of SC 7.4 is this?
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2009-08-25 15:05:30 UTC
QA to reproduce.
Comment 3 James Richardson 2009-09-08 15:32:07 UTC
QA has not been able to reproduce this with any build of 7.4

If you are able to reproduce please state the exact revision of 7.4 you are testing with, and steps to reproduce.

I have the issue in all builds since a couple of weeks ago so todays build should work.
But I'm sure you would have noticed it if you had the same issue, so maybe there is something else on my system that causes it.
I' check if I have any enabled plugins like rolands that has a something like a startup scan.
You can close this ticket and I'll create another one if I still got the problem after a completely fresh install.

However, is it possible to set mysql.exe process priority to below normal whenever it runs something, or would that cause other issues? Becaues when mysql.exe runs something it take all power it can get it seems.
