There has been some talk in the forums from a few passionate users who strongly wish to be able to set up and use their Squeezeboxes without logging in to a mysb.com account.

However, we'll never be able to accurately assess how serious of an issue this might be with only anecdotal evidence of these users.  We have no idea if this is 1 percent or 30 percent of our user base.  (My guess is it's much closer to 1 percent).

We need to brainstorm some way to get this data (without, of course, compromising users' privacy.  This would be aggregate data, or at most anonymous cross-referenced data with mysb accounts).
