Fab4 is forgetting settings after being reset manually and following a crash. I have found this with screen saver setting and sound effects, which reset to default. May apply to other settings.

Doing a factory reset on the device SHOULD remove settings. As for the crash.... that shouldn't happen.

Is this something you can replicate?

I did not mention a factory reset, just pressing the reset button on the back does it. Can be replicated - happens every time.

Also, the Fab4 never connects to itself or SBS following a reset, i need to go go
into setting->choose player then select Squeezebox to be able to do anything first.

Which firmware version are you using

r7227 but it happened with the previous one too.

Also just noticed that it does not remember the wallpaper setting either.

I have changed the title of the bug from 'reset' to 'reboot', sorry for the confusion. Definatly not doing a FR, just pressing the reset button for a split second. Same if i unplug/replug the power cord.

Update: The settings are not reverting to default, it just seem that often new settings are not saved. For example, this morning i performed a factory reset. Following that i changed sounds, screen saver and wall paper. It was working fine for a while and after a few reboots all seemed fine.

However i just got home and it's obviously crashed/rebooted while i was out. The only two options on the home menu were My Music & Settings. Now when i try and change any settings they revert back to the ones i set this morning (which are not the default) following a reboot. Every reboot requires i go into settings->choose player before the home menu will populate and the fab4 will connect to SC again.
