Description Paul Mackenzie 2009-08-21 08:00:19 UTC
Hi there,

I am running 7.4 28228 and found I had a plug-in installed which was not listed in the Plug-ins page. I found that I needed to add in the repository before I could see and disable the plug in. The plug in in question was SettingsManager and the repo was: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/slim7/repodata.xml

Michael: is this one yours to look at or Adrian's

I don't see this - James can you try and recreate. I get the impression the plugin is installed from a repo, but you later removed the repo from the configuration?

Did this occur when you first upgraded to 7.4 or have you been running a version of 7.4 before?

I have been running 7.4 for months. I first saw this today but it might have been in ages. The plugin was installed from a repo and some builds back my repos got wiped and I didn't add them all back in. The plug in was still installed though (it was SettingsManager and I confirmed it was working by changing a menu setting on one Boom and see it appear on the other Boom). As part of checking another bug I was asked to uninstall the plug in but I couldn't. I worked out I had to put the repo back in and then I could untick it and disable the plug in.

Can you reproduce now by removing the repo - I've just tried exactly that and could not produce the problem.

No, sorry, can't replicate. Must be a hangover from an earlier build. Feel free to close the bug report.
