Bugzilla – Bug 1352
Incompatibility with One-For-All Remotes
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:17:02 UTC
my one-for-all remote URC8811B00 and Tahir's remote don't work: I've just added a Squeezebox2 to my existing SlimP3's, everything's fine except I can't get the remote (OFA6) to work using either the old JVC codes or OFA's SlimDevices code (0533). Both remotes are enabled in player config. The Slim remote works fine.
I was able to reproduce this with my remote. Sean has it on his desk to reproduce when returns from vacation next week.
This may be a dup with bug 1478
I'm also seeing that my Meridian MSR+ programmed with JVC DVD codes doesn't work with either of my two new SB2's. It does work, with no changes, for my SB1. The jvc_dvd remote is enabled for all players in player settings. Server - 6.1 (2005_05_02_1) running on FC2 SB1 - Firmware 40 SB2's - Firmware 12
It'd be great to hear some news on this Sean
Bug noted. No news at the moment.
with bug 1478 pushed off to 6.2, this one follows as well
This should be fixed in the version 17 firmware that will go out with tonight's nightly release. Please test and close if it's fixed for you. Reopen if you are still having an issue. Thanks.
I tried the Firmware 17 (in slimserver-2005_08_24-1.noarch.rpm) and my SB2's still won't respond to my Meridian MSR+ remote control programmed to JVC DVD codes. My SB1 responds fine to the same remote. I have checked that all players have the jvc_dvd remote enabled in their player settings. All players respond correctly to the standard Slim remote. Server is 6.2, slimserver-2005_08_24-1.noarch.rpm, running on Linux FC2. Network has two wireless SB2's and one wireless SB1. Please let me know if you need further debug information.
