Description Philip Meyer 2009-08-18 00:42:01 UTC
Connected to Squeezebox Server, FAB4 controlling a Boom player.
Play radio stream.
Hibernate PC.
Player continues to play radio stream.
Try to take Fab4 into power-off mode - doesn't work.
Try to pause music playback - asks if I would like to switch music source!

Since there is no local player control on the Fab4, there is no way for it to control a player with out SBS.

This is a won't fix

So the only way to stop music from playing in this situation is to:

- Turn PC back on, wait for Squeezebox Server to start up, wait for SBT to connect to server, then press stop, power, pause, volume, then shut the server down again.
- Press the reset button on the back of the unit
- Yank the power lead out of the back
- Turn the router off, pull network cable out, turn off wifi.

That's a bit naff and bad end-user experience.

If music source goes off-line, doesn't it attempt to silently switch over to MySqueezebox.com, so that could serve the player controls?
