Description Caleb Crome 2005-04-09 09:09:35 UTC
When I try to run the server, I get the following error:

# /usr/local/slimserver/slimserver.pl
Had to create DBI::_dbistate unexpectedly at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm at 249
Segmentation fault.

Caleb - this looks like a possible perl bug. Is there any chance you can run
with a different perl?
Comment 2 Dan Sully 2005-06-02 22:04:35 UTC
Caleb - is this still happening for you?
Comment 3 Dan Sully 2005-06-13 21:05:45 UTC
I believe this is being caused by conflicting versions of DBI.

Could you try from your SlimServer base dir:

mv CPAN/DBI.pm CPAN/DBI.old ?

Thanks

another user in the forums has reported success with this. Caleb, is this now
solved for you?

Seems like there's a workaround. Moving forward, since a solution (unless
trivial) won't make it into 6.1.
