Description James Richardson 2009-08-17 14:47:39 UTC
The SBC is stuck on the 'Your squeezebox is now set up.' screen, after connecting a SBR from factory reset state to SN.

I have to power cycle (PIC or remove battery) the SBC to control over it again.

Steps to repro:

Load r7115 onto controller
Factory Reset both Controller and Receiver
Walk through setup on Controller - attach to SN
** Notice that the 'return to setup' menu item is shown even though setup is complete
Select 'choose player' menu item and setup Receiver
After connecting Receiver to SN, the Controller will show 'Your squeezebox is now set up' and get stuck. Button press's do nothing. Power off does not work (must hold for 20sec [pic] to turn off)

Hmm, I am wondering if that has to do with the recent changes to SetupSqueezebox? I'll have a look as this path did work before.

Tom: I am also seeing the effect that after walking through setup (i.e. setup complete), "Return to Setup" is still in the home menu. But if I wait a bit, maybe 30 seconds, the menu entry goes away. Any ideas?

Using r7122 after setup (and waiting until 'Return to setup' went away) I have an empty My Music directory and App Gallery and My Apps only show the small spinny but nothing happens. I also see no debug output. Could something on SN be down?

Until the above issue is solved I cannot test what goes wrong after SBR setup.
Comment 5 Felix Mueller 2009-08-18 03:24:10 UTC
One more thing I just noticed: After going through setup it looks like I get all the necessary icons from SN, but as stated above they don't work. If I reboot SBC I only have 'NP', 'My Music', 'Choose Player' and 'Settings'. So, yes, I think something on SN is not right.

This is the debug output I get:

Not sure whether this is the culprit, but setupNext is defined instead of closeToHome.

Jan 1 01:06:49 squeezeplay: INFO applet.SelectPlayer - SelectPlayerApplet.lua:439 ***** setupNext: function: 0x5db698 closeToHome:

Felix, sorry I haven't looked at this yet. Is it still a problem?
