Description Mickey Gee 2009-08-17 12:02:34 UTC
Placeholder for work needed to integrate BBC iPlayer app with Baby firmware.
Comment 1 Mickey Gee 2009-08-17 12:03:27 UTC
Assigning to Seth for targeting and prioritization.
Comment 2 Adrian Smith 2009-08-17 13:36:56 UTC
If Richard doesn't mind my lua implementation - I think I've already done what is needed for the firmware. Requires some tests of what performance are in lua, but seems ok for me on the 192k uk streams. [code sent to Richard]

Definitely a 7.4 P1 in my opinion.

Copying Sam for his input as well.
Comment 4 Sam Feng 2009-08-18 17:03:20 UTC
Can someone demo this to me? Thanks, Sam

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.

Seth, Mickey,

I'd like to ask the BBC about larger artwork for the main radio station screens as at present we stretch them to fill the Baby screen. Am I ok to let the BBC know that I am targeting a device with a 320x240 color lcd screen? (or would you rather ask)

Adrian

Could you ask for the bitmaps? We don't have very responsive contacts within the BBC. You might get a similar or better response from them. If that doesn't work, then we could ask them.

I would also suggest getting a variety of sizes. Most logo bitmaps we receive from service providers tend to be a lot larger and detailed. They're unlikely to create an optimized one for us, so we'll just choose one from what we receive.
Comment 8 Seth Schulte 2009-10-09 15:55:31 UTC
Moving to the 7.5.0 release. Increasing priority to a P2 as I'd like to try to get this in if possible (but not an absolute requirement).
Comment 9 Chris Owens 2009-10-21 09:49:02 UTC
moving current p2 bugs to p3 to make room for moving p1.5 bugs to p2
Comment 10 James Richardson 2009-10-22 11:38:12 UTC
re-assigning Seth's bugs to Matt
Comment 11 Pat Ransil 2009-10-23 05:11:04 UTC
Administrative move of 7.5 bugs. All P2, P3, P4 being downgraded one level. Will then split P1s.

Lua rtmp implementation has been committed (8106). I am not sure on what if any plans continue for SN integration, but this means that the BBCiPlayer plugin will now direct stream rtmp to SP devices.
Comment 14 Chris Owens 2010-03-08 11:26:48 UTC
Moving lower-priority bugs to next target
Comment 15 Chris Owens 2010-05-06 16:04:47 UTC
Matt Weldon isn't available to us any more. Please vote for this bug to make sure it appears in our priority list!
Comment 16 Adrian Smith 2010-05-07 11:20:35 UTC
This is potentially not needed.

I really think Squeezeplay should ship with BBCiPlayer support, but given the lack of resource to implement in MySB.com I created an Applet which supports it. (and added a few server features to enable it..)

What I would like to see is making the 3rd Party Applets far more prominent. Potentially for BBCiPlayer support all we need to do is to point people at the BBCRadio applet. (doesn't have the bitmaps and is retitled to BBCRadio to avoid BBC concerns.)

Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
