Bug #13413
SLDC driver patch from Freescale, with additions for display rotation (disabled) and a (hacked) fix for double buffering. This driver will only work with modified-MPQ and MP hardware.

SDL Patch for SLCDC driver

(Hacked) patch for SDL needed to support SLCDC driver, as the display double buffer needs a different pitch.
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2009-08-18 04:38:02 UTC
The kernel and sdl patch are enough for a proof on concept. This requires further work to allow the LCD or SLCDC driver to be used depending on board rev, and more extensive testing.

With limited testing I do see a system performance improvement using this driver.

Additional work is also needed for the brightness control. We'll complete this later after release.

Is this still needed in the new world post-reorg? Could someone post a sentence or two about WTF this is about?
Comment 7 Chris Owens 2010-05-07 10:28:45 UTC
Richard is no longer available to us.
