Bugzilla – Bug 13355
Debian build doesn't shut down/start server on update
Last modified: 2011-01-14 10:09:42 UTC
r28114/r28142 I had a failed update this morning because when I updated using dpkg -i squeezeboxserver_7.4~28142_all.deb The running Squeezebox Server was not shut down and so the update had no effect. Stopping the server manually did help. Then, the new server didn't start automatically, too. Manually starting it worked fine.
Mark: can you have a look at this one
See post 18: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=449179&postcount=18
this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
This still doesn't work with r28193 as an update from r28176
28287 still doesn't work but is worse by starting two instances. Making sure that Squeezebox Server is not running first: No squeezeboxserve found running; none killed. is the spelling error in "squeezeboxserve" probably the reason? The old instance is called "squeezebox-server" on my system
current builds of 7.4 are working for me.
Is this still an issue with the latest 7.5 builds?
No.
7.4.x milestone is in the past
Closing for now. Reopen if still an issue.
