Description Martijn 2009-08-10 12:08:14 UTC
When the SBR is switched off using the controller, the LED on its front goes out as expected.

Then when the server running Squeezecenter is switched off some time later (to conserve energy), the LED on the SBR comes on blue to indicate that SBR can't connect to Squeezecenter.

I think this should not happen because it's confusing behaviour: if the user switches off the SBR, it's 'user interface' should reflect the switched-off state (even though on a lower level it's still aware of its network environment).

On top of that I think the LED should stay off because:

- whether Squeezecenter is available or nor is (to a user) not relevant in the 'off' state

- a bright blue LED in the living/bedroom in the middle of the night can be an annoyance

- energy is wasted

I therefore propose to inhibit the SBR's LED status information when the SBR was switched off manually.

I am not the only one who's bugged by this behaviour, please refer to the Forum: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66438.

Voted, bug is minor. But it makes the product look stupid it's not elegant as it is.
