Description Weldon Matt 2009-08-07 15:53:26 UTC
Asked for personally by Bobbykin. Assigning to Noah for reference screen...

this is just having a string at the bottom saying "Please Wait" since the wait time is a bit long.
Comment 1 ndijulio 2009-08-10 11:27:09 UTC
FYI the text cannot be localized for this screen.
Comment 2 Weldon Matt 2009-08-10 11:38:08 UTC
I think the literal string should probably be "Please Wait..." (dots included).

Understood that we can't localize in time for 7.4. I leave it up to others to decide how to proceed - do we wait until we can do an SLT pass before implementing?
Comment 3 ndijulio 2009-08-11 18:42:08 UTC
Assets updated to SVN. "Please wait..." added to template. Please note that the templates are still fixed images that are burned into the firmware. Text strings will not be localized due to engineering constraints.

Ben/Richard - reassigning to you. Please pull in the updated assets when you have a moment.

Richard, this is a 'burn in' image-- I've done this before but would have to be walked through the process of capturing the framebuffer again. Maybe write up a wiki page so I can be the guy to do this in the future?
Comment 6 Richard Titmuss 2009-08-14 06:57:02 UTC
Ben, get the image on the screen using the app somehow. Then do:
  cat /dev/fb0 > /tmp/image

scp that off the device, and store it in the poky base-files package. Don't forget to bump the PR.
