Description Jeff Coffler 2005-04-06 23:48:53 UTC
I've noticed a bug in SlimServer v6.0 and v6.0.1. I can't find it reported in
the bug database; hope I didn't miss it.

If, under SlimServer, I go to "Player Settings" -> Audio, my player (a
Squeezebox2, but I'm pretty sure I saw this with the Squeezebox as well) lists
as not being synchronized with another player. But this isn't true; I set up
syncronization via the I/R remote, and the player *IS* synchronized.

If I try to establish syncronization via the "Player Settings" screen, it
appears to work, except that upon refresh the pages show "No synchronization",
which isn't the case.

I can reproduce this with both the default HTML pages and the Fishbone HTML
pages.

Could this be "configuration" noise from several SlimServer version upgrades
as well as player upgrades? Or is this a real bug?

If "configuration noise", should I just stop the SlimServer, delete the
settings file, restart the SlimServer, and reconfigure everything? Seems
painful ...

We're unable to reproduce this problem with the latest 6.0.2 nightly release. Can you try to reproduce
it and reopen the bug if it's still happening?
