Description James Richardson 2009-08-03 15:49:16 UTC
When holding down the REW button and applying AC power, SB devices will load the previous firmware.

There is no UI message to indicate this is happening. We need to have a message appear on the UI to indicate this is happening.

Assigning to Noah for reference screen. I would imagine this is a 5-second-or-so spinny with a "Loading firmware" (spinny) "v. [version number]"
Comment 2 Richard Titmuss 2009-08-08 00:47:20 UTC
This is not trivial to implemented, and has the same constraints as the 'factory reset' screen ie it's a screenshot with no dynamic text.

I don't think this is a P1, users should not have to do this, it's really a developers/QA safety net.
Comment 3 Weldon Matt 2009-08-10 16:30:36 UTC
Still assigned to Noah, but moved to a P3. Issues to consider:

- difficult to implement
- very marginal benefit to the user (99.99 percent of the time this will either be one of us using it, or it will happen during a customer care call)
- text can't be localized (it's part of a fixed image)

Static screens have been updated to SVN for all platforms. Reassigning to Ben for implementation.

Localized text will have to be handled at a latter date.

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2010-05-07 10:28:44 UTC
Richard is no longer available to us.
Comment 7 Alan Young 2011-11-06 23:22:23 UTC
Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
