Bugzilla – Bug 13192
Network connection error displays as an SC library error
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:29:57 UTC
Last night I took my Baby to my girlfriend's house, did a factory reset, connected it to her network and listened to content from SN (no SC connection). Today I brought it home, plugged it in, and tried connecting to Internet Radio for the heck of it (knowing it wouldn't work). First I got a "connecting to mysqueezebox.com" spinny (would be nicer if I first got a "connecting to [network x]" spinny, where [network x] was the last network I was connected to). Then, after the inevitable failure, I got a "Can't Connect to Library" message. This "Can't Connect to Library" message is intended solely for the case where a network connection exists but we can't connect to SC. So the messaging here with this error was completely wrong (I'm being asked to go to my computer and check Squeezebox Server etc). What SHOULD happen here is a wireless network error (my previous connection was to a wireless network), instructing me to choose a different network etc.
