Bugzilla – Bug 13187
add WiFi SNR and Signal Strength
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:28:30 UTC
Both SNR and Signal Strength are available on Baby, but each in a different location: Settings > Advanced Diagnostics > shows SNR, suggest add Signal Strength Settings > Advanced > SB Information > SB Radio Info > shows Signal Strength, suggest add SNR For troubleshooting WiFi issues might be handy to have both pieces of information in both locations.
Ben: would this be yours or Tom's to address? or would Weldon be a better person to say where these should be listed?
There is now speculation that SNR and Signal Strength are the same, just worded differently in different parts of WiFi menu info. If true, this is a moot bug. Though, if true, might be better to word both Signal Strength so as not to confuse users. :)
this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
This is already fixed, both places should now report signal strength.
