Description Joerg Schwieder 2009-07-28 02:16:57 UTC
If I try to enter Napster on Fab4 I only get a "your demo account will expire in X days, please select 'go to demo account'" (or similar) message but don't have any option to actually go to that menu.
If I do that through iPeng Napster will actually play fine, I just can't get into the Menu on Fab4.

QA to investigate
Comment 2 Joerg Schwieder 2009-08-01 13:03:07 UTC
are you absolutely sure this doesn't apply to 7.4?
I haven't had a chance to try whether this is a Fab4 only bug, I reported it against Fab4 because that's where I noticed it.
Comment 3 James Richardson 2009-08-02 08:41:07 UTC
I need to verify this against other SP based players, if I can repo it there (or if you can) then it can be reassigned to SP and targeted for 7.4
Comment 4 Joerg Schwieder 2009-08-02 10:02:02 UTC
OK, reassigned to baby since it doesn't work there either.
On Baby I don't get ANYTHING on the screen when entering the Napster menu.
I think this is critical since it simply means you can't use Napster, I can't re-assign to 7.4, though (not available).
Comment 5 Joerg Schwieder 2009-08-02 10:02:24 UTC
OK, in the next step I was able to reassign to 7.4
Comment 6 James Richardson 2009-08-02 10:58:49 UTC
if it's both Baby/Fab, then it's a SP bug. reassigning and clearing time

One more hint:
When I request a menu for my Fab4 with iPeng, I get an "opmlnapster" item on the home menu, which then leads to a textarea window that in turn leads to the new warning menu (see below).
This new menu is the one that seems to be troublesome on Fab4, maybe you can't move on from a textarea window?

OTOH, I DON'T get that home menu item for my Baby, when I enter "Napster" on Baby I just get nothing at all.

All my other configured "Apps" work from the home menu.

Home menu item:
            {
              actions => {
                    go => {
                            cmd => ["napster", "items"],
                            params => { menu => "napster" },
                            player => 0,
                          },
                  },
              displayWhenOff => 0,
              id => "opmlnapster",
              node => "home",
              stringToken => "PLUGIN_NAPSTER_MODULE_NAME",
              text => "Napster",
              window => {
                    "icon-id"  => "plugins/Napster/html/images/icon.png",
                    titleStyle => "album",
                  },
            },
