Bugzilla – Bug 13076
Mute on/off inconsistent, also causing station buffering and track skip
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:34:47 UTC
PB1, WinXP, SC r27765, radio stream From a Mute state: - turning Volume knob sometimes un-mutes, sometimes does not - Volume pop-up screen shows volume going up/down, but audio still Muted - pressing Volume knob to un-mute sometimes causes station re-buffer - pressing Volume knob to un-mute sometimes causes Pandora to skip to next track
Same results for Slacker & LastFM
Apparently pushing Mute (Volume knob) is acting like a PAUSE on the station stream. For a Music Service it looks like it is actually stopping the stream. For either Music Service or standard radio stream my clock is popping up when pushing Mute like it's a screen saver, but I did not select any screen saver. When the station is just playing the screen always stays on Now Playing screen. I hope I'm making sense in explaining this stuff. :)
Same for music files on SC, Baby's Mute = Pause, SC even shows the stream as paused on the UI, turning Volume knob does not un-mute audio. Is this a Baby feature (Mute = Pause) I'm rampling about?
Pressing volume button is now mute.
Actually, it isn't. :) Pressing Mute while on SC or MySB doesn't fully Mute, only lowers volume to a very low level. WinXP, Baby PB1, r6865 On the positive side: - adjusting Volume knob (up or down) does bring Baby out of Mute, which is nice. - Mute no longer causes stream buffering/skips
