Bugzilla – Bug 13045
Prompts for connection to stale SC library when not connected to SC
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:28:47 UTC
Created attachment 5518 [details] Prompt for stale SC instance When Baby doesn't have a connection to SC it falls back to prompting for connection to previous SC connection. My home server is "music-server" and I had taken Baby home last night to connect with my home wireless network and my home SC instance. I brought it into work, and connected it the work wireless network but did not connect to any SC instance. When I then select a music service (Pandora, Napster), Internet Radio, or My Music, I am prompted to connect with my home server. No other option is provided. I think it should verify that the SC instance still exists. If it doesn't, then it should list all known SC instances. Failing that, it should automatically connect to SN. Using the diagnostic screen, I can see that Baby knows about SN and not a SC instance. Using firmware r6758. Pertinent screen shots enclosed.
Created attachment 5519 [details] Screen shot with SN connection OK
Created attachment 5520 [details] Screen shot with no SC connection
Targeting for next release
SP doesn't know if the server is sleeping or offline, so we always bring up the connecting popup to try. Try the latest build for this. If you are trying a SN-servable item, after the popup timeout (or when you click back or home from the popup), it should offer a switch to SN.
Currently I think it works as in previous comment. Closing bug.
