Description Dan Evans 2009-07-17 17:52:44 UTC
I placed a file from each of our supported file types on a USB thumb drive, turned on SC on Fab4 and scanned the drive. (sometimes it scanned, sometimes not. but i could always access via "Music Folder".) Here's what I find:

 * FLAC -- plays fine
 * MP3 -- plays fine
 * WMA -- plays but rebuffers constantly
 * M4A -- won't play, error (standard AAC lossy non-DRM)
 * AIF -- won't play, error
 * WAV -- won't play, error
 * WMA Lossless -- plays but rebuffers constantly
 * Apple Lossless -- haven't tried yet

(error = "can't open file for <filepath>")

It would be good to know which of these *do* work from a real SC.

Some more formats you need to add to your test are:
Ogg Vorbis
WMA Pro

Note ALAC is not yet natively supported.

Fixed, tested the following with TinySC -> local Touch:

MP3
FLAC
WMA
AAC
AIFF
WAV

WMA Lossless/Pro and ALAC are not yet supported.
